Man Admits Role In Death

A CENTRAL Coast man pleaded guilty yesterday to the manslaughter of Brett Crittenden at Long Jetty in January last year.

Mark Allan Forrest, 50, stabbed Mr Crittenden during the altercation on January 27, 2007.

Forrest had been standing trial for Mr Crittenden's murder in the NSW Supreme Court in Newcastle, but the Crown accepted yesterday his plea of guilty to manslaughter. Sentencing submissions will be heard tomorrow.
