Public Jetty Set To Be Rebuilt

THE Booragul jetty will be rebuilt under a $313,500 contract approved by Lake Macquarie City Council.
The council accepted a tender from Kilaben Bay company Hunter Wharf and Barge for the design and building of the public jetty on the shore reserve.The company will demolish the old jetty.A council report said the jetty's main piles and deck would be made of concrete.Commercial and charter operations that can handle the 2.1-metre to 2.4-metre water depth will be allowed to use the jetty.
